The Craft Behind Every Loom
Persian rug-making is one of the world's most storied textile traditions — and at Rugs Republic, we honor it differently. Instead of asking one weaver to spend a year tying a single rug, we put centuries of Persian pattern-making in the hands of designers and precision looms, so the artistry reaches your floor in days, not years, without losing an ounce of detail.
Step 1
Archiving & Redrawing the Motif
Our design team studies archival Persian carpets — medallions from Tabriz, botanical borders from Isfahan, dense florals from Kashan — and redraws each motif point by point, preserving every curve and proportion of the original.
Step 2
Color Matching & Yarn Selection
We match dye recipes to the deep madder reds, indigo blues, and walnut browns of traditional Persian palettes, then select a dense wool-blend yarn built to hold that color and stay plush underfoot for years of daily use.
Step 3
Precision Loom Weaving
Our looms weave the pattern at a weave density high enough to render fine detail — sharp medallion edges, clean border lines, consistent symmetry — with a level of precision that's difficult to achieve by hand, at a pace that means your rug doesn't spend a year on a frame before it reaches you.
Step 4
Finishing, Shearing & Inspection
Every rug is sheared to an even, plush pile, edge-finished for durability, and inspected by hand before it ships — so what arrives at your door is ready for the room the moment you unroll it.
